Exterior Design
The brash design of the 2026 BMW iX is a unique thing in and of itself. The vertical kidney grilles get an update and now more seamlessly align with the bumpers and hood line above, but they still define the face of this midsize electric crossover. Refreshed LED headlights offer a new signature lighting pattern, and soft curves are other clear signatures of the iX, and a range of new 19 and 20-inch wheel designs will help set you apart from the pack. That plus a range of stunning color options accented with black trim and aerodynamic pieces help make the BMW iX a head-turner on the roads of Irondale.
Interior Design
Much like the exterior, the interior design of the 2026 BMW iX is equal parts modern and simplified. The sparse dash gives way to a set of narrowed vents for a minimalist look. On the other hand, diamond-stitched seats provide that touch of luxury and detail you've come to expect from BMW. The cabin design of the 2026 BMW iX is even more impressive. Quilted leather upholstery provides an upscale feel, while the simplified dash design is modern minimalism at its finest. The party piece of the BMW iX is the electrochromatic glass roof - rather than a sliding panel, a press of a button activates a chemical reaction that turns the clear glass into a sunshade.
Performance
There are three of powertrain options for the 2026 BMW iX, starting with the standard xDrive45. This setup offers 402 horsepower and gets to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. The middle child is the xDrive60, delivering 536 horsepower and up to 340 miles of range from a full charge. Meanwhile, the high-powered M60 variant delivers 610 horsepower and comes with adjustable air suspension and four-wheel steering for improved maneuverability. Range for the base model starts at 315 miles, while the M60 is good for an EPA-estimated 274 miles from a full charge. Even better, BMW works with EVgo, so you'll have public fast charging options everywhere you go.

The tech-packed 2026 BMW iX includes a dual-screen display with twin 12.3-inch screens included. This setup allows for near limitless customization thanks to the new iDrive 8.5 interface and its smartphone-esque design. Plus, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant puts extra emphasis on the Intelligent with improved fidelity.The 2026 BMW iX is loaded with advanced technology, including the ability to use your smartphone as a remote to lock and unlock doors as well as activate and adjust climate settings before you go for a drive.
