Performance
The 2026 BMW i5 comes with a choice of three EV powertrains, now with improved cooling for even greater range. The base setup is good for 335 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque and gives you a range of up to 305 miles from a full charge. The newest member of the family is the xDrive40, with all-wheel drive, a combined 389 horsepower, and 278 miles of range. Meanwhile, the i5 M60 turns up the wick with 590 horsepower and 586 pound-feet of torque, a zero to 60 mph sprint in just 3.7 seconds, and 258 miles of total range.
Technology
Tech surrounds you in the 2026 BMW i5. Not only does the cabin-wide LED strip include touch controls, but you'll also have dual integrated 12.3 inch displays for the instrument cluster and central display. The updated interface is now easier to customize, and revised voice controls more responsive to variations in language for improved ease of use.
