Possible BMW M7 Spied Testing

When the new 7 Series debuted last summer, the same dreams that have dogged the hearts of enthusiasts for decades was renewed. Would a BMW M7 finally be joining the fold? After the launch of the M750i and B7 Alpina, signs pointed to no. But after refusing that they were developing an M2, and then releasing one, we knew that the odds could still be in our favor.

Now, yet another glimmer of hope has emerged. Recently, automotive spy photographers caught a peek at a 7 Series test bed with some curious brake discs. With giant cross-drilled brakes, the prototype has exactly the amount of braking chops that one would hope for in a 600 horsepower car. But without the typical swollen body work of production M cars, we don't know as of yet just what this is.
