The second-generation BMW X1 xDrive28i Sports Activity Vehicle (as its properly called by the company) was officially launched last month, and promises bigger and better things for this compact and capable crossover in Irondale, AL.

While the general vibe of this video is a little different from the brand's typical "dark and mysterious", horsepower-roaring performance shots, we really liked it.
Because it showed that a new BMW isn't just for one type of driver. With the precision engineering and breathtaking style of the 2016 BMW X1 SUV, this model is for anyone. And we think that anyone will be strongly "for" this model, too. The standard 2.0L TwinPower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine creates 240 horsepower. The xDrive all-wheel-drive system sends power seamlessly to the wheel or wheels (complete with 18" all-season tires) with the most traction. And, when the 40/20/40 rear seats are folded flat, the crossover boasts a spacious 56 cubic feet of available cargo room.
